There may be occasions where you may wish to log in as a different user or as an Administrator to make changes or gain permissions. It is also important to be able to further secure systems by not allowing automatic login. The following tech note describes how to disable auto login to a browser base application.
- Open Internet Explorer, and click on the small gear shaped icon in the top right of the browser on the tool bar.
- From the resultant drop down pane, select Internet options.
- The Internet Options pane will open. Click on the Security tab, and then click the button for Custom level.
- The Security Settings – Internet Zone will open. Scroll down until you can see User Authentication.
- Click the radio button for “Prompt for username and password”
