Description

How to resolve slow poll issue with DASMBTCP server.

  • Author: Ernest Lee
  • Published: 04/06/2015
  • Applies to: DASMBTCP v3.0.100

Details

Delay in receiving data from PLC. After editing the slow poll interval from 10000 msec to 1000 problems persist.

This issue was resolved by changing the Maximum Outstanding Messages from 4 to 1.

Communication to End Device Going In and Out of Slow Poll Mode:

This is a common occurrence when communicating to end devices that do not support multiple outstanding messages. By default, DASMBTCP will send up to four messages to the end device without receiving an answer back. Once there are four outstanding messages, DASMBTCP will wait for the end device to answer.
