When you try to open Windowmaker you get the message "Another Instance of Windowmaker or WM.exe is already running"

Details

This is mostly like cause by another WM.exe already running on the computer.(Assuming Intouch Application Manager or Windowmaker are not running in a remote session)

 

The most common program that causes this issue is Novell Client Workstation Manager or Novell Client Workstation Service.

 

The program directory for this application is "C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENworks\wm.exe"

 

If you can end the wm.exe task started by Novell you can start Windowmaker.

 

Novell can be removed from the PC if is not required.
