How to confirm that Alarms have arrived in the WWALMDB

 

This Tech Note walks you through how to check in SQL Management Studio that Historical Alarms are arriving in the WWALMDB database.

1 Open SQL Management Studio via the Start - All Programs Menu

2 Click the Connect button on the Connect to Server Window.

3 SQL Server Management Studio appears as seen below and make sure you are able to see the Object Explorer window.

4 Expand the Databases Tab then look for the WWALMDB database as seen below.

5 Expand the Views Tab and look for the dbo.v_AlarmHistory as seen below.

6 Right Click on the dbo.v_AlarmHistory  and Select Top 1000 Rows as seen below

7 Results should be returned from the dbo.v_AlarmHistory View

8 Check to see that the top entry has a recent timestamp.
