TN - 1469 Creating an Industrial Graphic directly from a Tag in 2023 R2

Description

Details

This new feature came about in 2023 R2, and can be used to quickly create a graphic with a bunch of pre-populated symbols without having the extra steps of mapping your custom properties.

1)      Create a new Industrial Graphic from within InTouch or the Industrial Graphic Toolbox.

2)      Inside of the Industrial Symbol Editor, on the right next to Properties, select Model – Tagname to expose the tagname dictionary.

3)      Find a tag, and drag and drop it towards the canvas on the screen.

OR

b.      Industrial Graphic from that tag.  When you select Industrial Graphic, the Industrial Graphic Library will pop up to select a graphic to map this tag to.  Note that the Custom Property of the Industrial Graphic has already been populated by the Selected tag.

5)  You can use this to build a more detailed screen with your tags with less time having to map the tags afterwards!
