Problem Statement

 

When installing a DA server, user receives error message “Rainbow Sentinal Setup failed to complete successfully.

Installation then aborts without the DA Server being installed

This error will occur when installing an older version of a DA server after installing a later version of InTouch. For example, attempting to install the DASABTCP 2.0 after installing InTouch 10.6

Solution Details

 

Install the latest version of the DA server. For example, install the DASABTCP 2.0 rather than the DASABTCP 1.5.

OR

In Windows,

  1. Click Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
  2. Click Sentinel Protection Installer
  3. Click Remove | Yes
  4. Restart Computer

After restarting, the DA server will install properly.
