How to import a bitmap into a symbol in Citect SCADA 2016

 

This Tech Note walks you through importing a bitmap into a Citect symbol

1 Open the Citect Graphics Builder.

2 Click on New and Symbol

3 Click on File and Import

4 Browse to the bitmap you wish to import

5 The tank will appear in the symbol as below.

6 To remove the white background click on Tools and Swap Colors

7 Change Swap Color from and to as below then click the OK button

8 The white background should disappear as seen below

9 Click on File and Save As. A dialog box appears with the option to save the Symbol into the Global folder or click on New to create your own folder.
