How to configure the CitectSCADA Computer Setup Wizard (Express Setup)

 

This Tech Note will walk you how to configure your workstation as a Development and Runtime Node for CitectSCADA using the Computer Setup Wizard Express Setup.

1 Open Citect Explorer and click on the Computer Setup Wizard button as seen below. You can select the Wizard from the Tools menu also.

2 Keep the default for an Express Setup and click the Next button.

3 The Project Name will appear and make sure this is the one you wish to Develop on and click the Next button.

5 Keep the default for Standalone Setup and click the Next button.

6 It will ask you for a Server password which you can set and this should be the same on all other machines to enable communication. Click the Next button.

7 Click the Finish button and your workstation is ready to develop the project you selected.
