TN Appsvr114 Failed to Connect to AppServer GR Node

Description

The following issue is sometimes seen as a result of using the Platform Remover with Wonderware System Platform - Application Server. This is caused by registry keys not being deleted properly.  It is necessary to delete the remaining registry keys in order to create a new galaxy.

How and When to Use this Guide

This tech note should only be used when a popup error message similar to the one shown below is seen during new galaxy creation.

Instructions

Open the registry editor by typing REGEDIT from a command prompt and then press Enter.

 

The registry editor opens.  Browse to the first key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ArchestrA\ArchestrAServices\Archestra_xxx

Highlight and delete the registry key as shown above.

 

Browse to the second key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ArchestrA\ArchestrAServices\Node_Registration

Confirmation of Success

The New Galaxy button should now operate as expected.
