Description

This article describes changing the pingitem for a DDESuitelink client object in order to change the tag that is looked at to update the connection status.

Details

Open the DDESuitelink object in object viewer and go to the topics tab.  Each topic that you see in the list will have its own pingitem associated with it. This item can be changed to a particular PLC item and will be monitored to set the connection status of the DDESuitelink object.

Next, Go to the Attributes tab and select the pingitem that you wish to set and the name of the PLC item that you wish to use for the status updates as below:
