TN DAS157 Using SuiteLink to Communicate with OmniServer Pro

OmniServer Pro from Software Toolbox is a fully configurable I/O server. It takes care of polling and parsing data from a device without the need for a custom driver. OmniServer does support the use of Wonderware's Suitelink protocol though the use of the Factory Suite client.
The client may configure Wonderware's Historian or InTouch Runtime to connect directly to the OSRVPOLL I/O Server. This fully supports the use of the Suitelink protocol for communication.
Note: It is necessary to install the Wonderware Common Components on the OmniServer workstation, if not already installed. This may be installed from the Wonderware Device Integration DVD.
You may see a logger message such as "connection attempt to OSRVPOLL refused, SLSSVC not running" from the Historian or InTouch Runtime machine.

Server: Node Name for the OmniServer

Fill in the name and description. Select the protocol and device as needed in OmniServer.
