Details
This article from InSource shows how the Box and Whisker Plot is one of the charting options found in the Wonderware Intelligence Analytics client. It displays the distribution for a set of data. The plot has a central rectangle with the bottom half shaded forming a box and two lines marking the end of each whisker.
Note: This type of plot works best for actuals rather than aggregates.
The points are plotted on a single line to determine the location of the Box and Whisker plot.
Bottom of Box – 1st Quartile
Top of Box – 3rd Quartile
Shaded Band Top – Median or 2nd Quartile
Whiskers – Plotted at the Median Absolute Deviation (1.5 times the interquartile range) or the Maximum Extent of the Data.
