Details

Use this method to trigger alerts to maintenance personnel that a maintenance task is required on a particular asset due to the asset having run for the prescribed number of hours.

It is assumed that "hour meter" tags have been configred for each asset in the control system or the SCADA layer and is being pushed into the online Historian.

Using the InSight web interface:

Create a trend with the "run meter" tag in question.

Click the Create Alert icon

Click in the trend, you can select in the area that represents the value of the tag you want to trigger on.

Enter the value to trigger on and the operand.

Click Next and specify the email address to send the alert to.

Enter the alert name and description then finish.

You will then be able to see alert in the alert list.
