TN PT106 (ACP) Using PXE Boot With Static IP Addresses

This article illustrates the configuration necessary to PXE boot a client and connect it to ACP Thinmanager.

The architecture is illustrated above, but consists of a static IP address for the Thinmanager server (which is in this case also the RDP server).  The client was configured in the BIOS to boot from the network card.

 

This is what it looks like from VMWare Workstation.

First we will enable and configure the PXE server in Thinmanager.  Thinmanager will be configured not to use DHCP and an address range will be allocated to clients (shown over the following 3 images).

Lastly we will power on the terminal (or client).

if the terminal has not been defined in Thinmanager that will need to be done the first time.
