Double clicking in the inbox may open a work item twice. This may be confusing to the user. A workaround is provided below.
Log into the Enterprise Console to open the inbox. Click on the Edit web part link as shown.
The Edit dialog will open to the right side of the Enterprise Console.
Scroll down to the checkbox item named "Show detail on row double-click".
Check the checkbox to resolve the issue with the double popup work item
