Building the App

InTouch Web enables users to visualize Industrial (aka ArchestrA) Graphics in a web browser. New with InTouch 2020 comes an Android and IOS app that runs the InTouch web on your local mobile device. Note also with 2020 this can be read and write permissions to the system.

You can select individual Industrial Graphics to visualize or you can use this as a native application much like running InTouch proper.

A requirement is that you need to specify a Graphics folder that contains all the Industrial Graphics you want to be available via the web browser. This is done via WindowMaker regardless of whether you are using Application Server.

In this example the entire InTouch Application is web aware as seen here you must set the Web Client Root Folder.

The best user experience is had when the InTouch application is built using "Frame" type windows and the Industrial Graphics are shown in that window based on navigation buttons.

Running the App on a Mobile Device

Download the AVEVA Mobile App from your app store (its free)

Launch the app on your mobile device (ensure you have the proper network access to the InTouch network)

Enter the IP address of the node where InTouch WindowViewer is running.

Enter a User and Password that has access

The application should then run in the mobile app and have interactive capabilities including hand gestures for pan/zoom.
