TN AG106 Converting an InTouch Window to ArchestrA Symbol

This article from InSource details converting a Wonderware InTouch Window with classic native graphic elements to an ArchestrA graphics symbol. This example is done in InTouch 2014 R2 which is the first version of InTouch to support ArchestrA graphics outside the IDE.

Details

Be sure you have a Modern InTouch Application open. We will be using the Reactor Demo for purposes of this article.

1. Right-click on the Reactor display window, under Classic View -> Windows toolbox and select Convert to ArchestrA Symbol. When the Converting Windows to Symbols screen is complete, you can View Details and also review the Window Conversion Report. Click the Close button to continue. 
   
   
2. You will now see the converted Reactor_display symbol in the ArchestrA Graphic Toolbox under a New Graphic Toolset named for the Application.
   
3. Right-click the Reactor_display symbol and select Open. You will now see the Reactor_display symbol in the Editor. Click on the various elements in Elements toolbox to view the properties as desired.
