[ISS Support Case] Issue communicating with PLC when running Edge as a service
Last updated: October 17th, 2025Description
Client has an Edge 2020 install communicating with various PLCs. Client has the software running as a service. After changes were made to the company network, Edge will not communicate with a specific Modbus PLC (MOXA ioLogik E1200 Series), only when running as a service. Client has other PLCs that are able to connect. When running edge as a normal application, client is not seeing any communication errors in the output window. IP address of PLC was changed on both the PLC and in Edge. Client is in a domain environment.
