Overview
You go into the SMC and go under DAServer Manager->Default Group-Local and the DA Server is missing.
When looking in the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs You can see it installed.
Resolution
The Wonderware installation process prompts the user to enter or create a username and password to use for “off node” communications. This account must match on all of the machines that need to participate in the Wonderware network. Using a password with less than eight characters can cause the DAServers to be hidden in the SMC.
To fix this issue we can go to:
Start->Programs->Wonderware->Common->Change Network account.
Make sure you have your correct username for your Wonderware environment, and that the password contains at least eight characters Once you click OK the computer will ask for reboot. Once the computer is rebooted go back on your SMC and check the DAServer manager again.
Now you should see your DAServer.
