Is there a way to convert from SQL Server Express Edition 2014 to SQL Server 2012 Standard Edition? SQL Server Issue

Solution

SQL Upgrade can be between editions of the same or higher number only. Otherwise, an uninstall and reinstall must be performed. You are not able to downgrade to SQL Server 2012 from SQL Express 2014. Supported SQL editions for 2014 R2 SP1 can be referenced on the Wonderware support site in the Compatibility Matrix or in the readme file for the Wonderware product install.
