049407 - Support for Windows and SQL 2012
Problem
Looking to upgrade the company's servers in the near future and would like to know Wonderware's support for Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012. They are currently running 2012 R2, which does not support Windows Server 2012. Questions: 1) Will the 2012 R2 SP that is going to be released support the MS 2012 versions? 2) Will the 2014 version support it (I believe it should), and if so what is the currently planned release date? Also, how likely is meeting this date?

Solution
The 2012 R2 Patch 1 will not include support for Windows 2012. However, the System Platform 2014 will include support for Server 2012. It is currently scheduled to be released early next year.
