TN WIS105 How to move an existing SRS report from one Wonderware Information Server machine to another

Description

Some times it is not practical to bring over the entire ReportServer database from a different Information Server machine. In this case, the tech note below walks through the process of bringing over a single SRS report.

Step 1)

Open each missing report in report builder on the original Wonderware Information Server machine and save them as an .rdl file by using the save as feature as below:

Step 2)

On the new Wonderware Information Server machine go to the folder you wish to host the report in and choose "Upload File" to select the saved .rdl file. In the image below I am uploading the report named test into a custom folder named Engineering Panel.

Step 3)

Create a custom link or panel in the new Information Server machine to allow a user to access the new report.
