Details:

Goal

Use the section below to describe the goal of the how-to. You might want to offer prerequisites that must be met before the user begins the task, such as previous how-to's, configuration or product setting requirements.

After completing this how-to guide, you will know how to establish a connection to a System Platform Galaxy in Win-911 Workspace.

Use each step section to describe the instructions needed to achieve the goal.

Steps

  1. Launch Win-911 Workspace.
  2. Go to Alarming -> System Platform Settings.
  3. Click Configure Connection to Galaxies.
  4. Make sure the Galaxies tab is selected and click the + button to create a new galaxy connection.
  5. Define the galaxy name (for this example, we used Win911Test but this would be the name of your galaxy) and click the + button to define your galaxy area(s).
  6. Enter the name of the area to be monitored (for this example we used MainArea, but this would be the name of your galaxy area) and click the check button.
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Go to the Subscription Routes tab, and click the + button to define a new Subscription Route.
  9. Accept the defaults, and click the Save button.
  10. Go to the Subscriptions tab, and verify that the All Alarms subscription exists.

NOTE: This tutorial shows you how to log all galaxy alarms. If you want to filter the alarm results, further customization will need to be done.
