Details

Win-911 may be configured to use text messaging for alarm notification. The Sierra Wireless AirLink RV50X modem is used by Win-911 to send these messages. This modem is assigned a fix IP address. It assumes the use of a standard network gateway. If not, the test connection will time out from the Win-911 server.

A non-standard gateway may be defined from the WAN/Cellular tab in the RV50X setup. Click on the Reliable Static Route (RSR) item on the left panel. Enter the non-standard gateway IP address in the Gateway for Primary Interface.

Win-911 will then successfully send the text message via the modem.
