TN Citect019 How to import a bitmap into a symbol in Citect SCADA 2016

This Tech Note walks you through importing a bitmap into a Citect symbol

1. Open the Citect Graphics Builder.
   
2. Click on New and Symbol
   
3. Click on File and Import
   
4. Browse to the bitmap you wish to import
   
5. The tank will appear in the symbol as below.
   
6. To remove the white background click on Tools and Swap Colors
   
7. Change Swap Color from and to as below then click the OK button
   
8. The white background should disappear as seen below
   
9. Click on File and Save As. A dialog box appears with the option to save the Symbol into the Global folder or click on New to create your own folder.
