TN Citect016 How to configure the Citect SCADA 2016 Configurator to create a Deployment Server

Part of the Installation of Citect SCADA 2016 requires you to start the Configurator to create your Deployment Server. This Tech Note walks you through the simple steps to do this.

1. When the installation has completed you will see the below splash screen that requires you to launch the Citect Configurator. Click the Finish Button.
   
2. Choose your Port Number you wish to use to allow communication and if the Firewall hasn't been turned off Check the Add the port to the Windows Firewall exception list. Click the Next Button.
   
3. Choose how you want to use Security Certificate Authentication. Click the Next Button.
   
4. Click the Next Button.
   
5. Create a password that will be used to communicate between the Citect Deployment Server and Client machines. Click the Next Button.
   
6. Change the File Path location by Clicking the Elipse Button if needed. Click the Configure Button at the bottom.
   
7. Once configured you should see a Green Tick beside the Deployment Server. Click the Close Button.
