Navigation in OMI is typically done with the navigation tree apps or breadcrumb app. When clicking an object in the model tree it sets the "current asset" to that object. This causes automatic content display based on archestra graphics in that object etc. You can set the current asset with archestra graphic scripting and animation links as seen below. 

Edit an archestra graphic and add a visual element:

Add an action script animation link and set the value of MyViewApp.Navigation.CurrentAsset to the target object in the model view.
