After upgrading the MES software ware you get a message saying Middleware and Database are incompatible versions as below:

This tech note walks through the process of migrating the MES database.

Step 1) The first thing you will need to do is confirm that the database configuration software has been installed on the MES machine. This tool is used to migrate a database. To do this go to Control Panel \ Programs and Features and click "Wonderware MES" and click Change:

Confirm that Database is selected to be installed under the Server section as below:

Step 2) Launch the "Database Setup" tool from the Start\All Programs\Wonderware\MES\Utilities folder as below:

Step 3) Select "Create or Migrate Database" and click the Next button:

Step 4) Select the correct MES database and credentials and click "Next"
