Details

There are times when WindowViewer (View.exe) is set to auto start on boot up and the application loaded is either a demo application or the last application in memory (and not the current app you want to load). A common fix is to open the current application from Application Manager and then launch WindowViewer. Sometimes this does not work. This article will walk you through how to resolve the issue.

Access the current logged on user's win.ini file from the following path:

C:\users\"select the account running the OS"\appdata\local\wonderware\win.ini

Edit the application path in the win.ini file to match where your local application is saved. This is not applicable or recommended for managed applications.
