Details

In this example, the server is a member of a domain, and the operating system is Server 2019.

The following message is seen from the HMI when the user logs on to the remote desktop session.

There is no Microsoft RDS CAL per user license available from the License Server. The session disconnects after 60 minutes.

The solution is to provide the name of a License Server with the proper licensing. This is configured from the registry.

Type in regedit from a command prompt. Update the following key with the name of the License Server(s).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services\LicenseServers
