[ISS Support Case] Seeking Information on Running ALARMDB Logger as a service
Last updated: October 17th, 2025Description
Client is seeking assistance running AlarmDB Logger as a service. Alarms are not showing up when running as a service. When running the Alarm Logger as a service, I can view all past alarms in the database but it wont log any new alarms. Only when I run it as an application will it log new alarms. Again it shows connected to the database in either mode, but will only log NEW alarms when its running as an application. To answer the questions below: 1. The connection shows succeeded when testing it in the DB Manager. 2. The Wonderware Alarm Logger Services is Running. 3. The alarm query is \InTouch!$System. 4. The AlarmDBViewCntrl shows connected.
