[ISS Support Case] Editing an ActiveX script 'invalid reference or unknown OCX method
Last updated: October 17th, 2025Description
Direct email: click and newstart scripts contain hostname references. However, when I attempt to save a change in either of these scripts from hostname to IP address, I get the error Invalid reference or unknown OCX Method: Are the lines that begin with # comments? If so, this code would appear as if it is not even used. If the hashtags are not comments, I did find TN IT242 Considerations when Migrating InTouch applications to another PC - InSource Solutions (insourcess.com), but I could not determine that any of those factors applied. Do you know what I might need to do to complete the change of hostname to IP address in the ActiveX scripts?
