Details

You can run Historian without a valid license, but there are several restrictions.

1. You can only add 32 tags.
   If you right click on Status in Historian and choose All Tasks -> View License Information, you can see the number of allowed tags.
   
2. You can only store historical data for 7 days. 
   
3. Replication and Date Modification are not allowed.
4. The tags can only be added via MDAS; IDAS is not an option if the product is not licensed.
   
   After adding tags and Committing Pending Changes, you can see the current tag count in the Status window.
   
5. You can import tags via the wizard or manually, but the wizard will fail if you exceed the 32 tag count limit
