This article outlines how to change the embedded Historian server name in saved Historian Client trend files (*.aaTrend) all at once in batch style.

Details

Click on Start – All Programs

  1. Scroll down to Wonderware folder and open menu folder
  2. Then open Historian Client menu folder
  3. Scroll down within this folder to Trend icon and click to open
  4. Click on Tools
  5. Click on Servers…
  6. Add new Historian server
    1. Type new Historian server name in Server: box (PCAR107WWDH02)
    2. Click on Add
  7. Click on old server name (PCAR107WWDH01)
  8. Type in Password: box, 1234
  9. Click on Update
  10. Click on Close
  11. Open Windows Explorer
  12. Go to your location where you store your “Trends”
  13. Highlight no more than 10 of your trends
  14. Right mouse click on the highlighted area of your selection
  15. Select Open
  16. An error message will appear, select Yes.
  17. This message comes up for each file you had highlighted
  18. Type new server in Server: box (PCAR107WWDH02)
  19. Type in Password: box (wwUser)
  20. Select Update
  21. Select Close
  22. Trend linked to new Historian server is displayed
  23. Click on File
  24. Click on Save As…
  25. Fill in name of updated trend
  26. Select location to store file
  27. Click Save
