TN - 1504 Using Omron Driver in Aveva Edge

Description:  

This article from InSource shows how to resolve a “Cannot load OMRON. (126)” error popup when opening AVEVA Edge.

Solution Steps:

The following error popup is seen when an Aveva Edge project is opened without the CX-Compolet installed.

Aveva Edge does require the CX-Compolet to be installed on the runtime machine when the Omron driver is used.  Note: It is not necessary for thin clients (Secure Viewer, Web Thin Client, Mobile Access) because these are only used for visualization.  

The CX-Compolet Ver 1.80 may be downloaded from the Omron website.  It will appear in Programs and Features from Control Panel after it is installed.

Aveva Edge will open the project with no error popup after the CX-Compolet is installed.  The driver sheets will be accessible from the Comm tab.
