Last updated: February 20th, 2025

Description

  • Author: Alex Davenport
  • Published: February 20th, 2025

Details:

This Tech Note walks you through a workaround when you add a tag into the PLC and the DASABCIP DA Server doesn't see this and starts giving error warnings in the SMC. Please contact Tech Support for the Hotfix released for this issue.

  • Published: 11/25/2015
  • Applies to: DASABCIP 5.0
  1. Start the wwClient utility
  2. Enter the correct details for where your DASABCIP DA Server software is loaded as seen below then click the Done button.
  3. You should see a successful connection to the DASABCIP DA Server as seen below then click on the Item menu.
  4. The below menu appears and in the Item enter the tag $Sys$Updatetaginfo and select Deiscrete. Click on the AdviseEx button to connect to the tag.
  5. Once connected to the tag you should see the 0x00c0 value return showing a good connection. Place a value of 1 and then click the Poke button. This will update your tags and the error messages will disappear.
