Details
The system involved was being migrated from SP 2020 R2 P01 to SP 2023 R2 SP1. New hardware was provided for the OI Server. The GATEWAY.AAcfg configuration file was copied from the old system to save time.
Clicking on the Test Connection button resulted in a crash for the OCMC. The OPC UA Namespace was not pulled into the configuration due to the crash.
The following message was found in the Log Viewer. It indicates that a bad or invalid argument was found.
Note: The format for the GATEWAY.AAcfg file has changed significantly in the newer version.
Right-click on Configuration found under OI.Gateway.3 from the Operation Integration Server Manager found in the OCMC. Select Clear Configuration Set to delete the old configuration.
The Test Connection button worked as expected after the configuration was rebuilt from the OCMC.
