If attempts to configure Sentinel Manager fail with logger errors and where the Configuration Message pane shows Test Connection Failed - Invalid Sentinel Manager name 'http://localhost, the following procedure may resolve the problem.
Open the Wonderware Logger. You may see the following error

It may be that Named Pipes and/or TCP/IP are not enabled for SQL Server Network Configuration.
Open SQL Server Configuration Manager from the Start Menu.
Navigate to SQL Server Configuration Manager (Local) > SQL Server Network Configuration and review the settings for Named Pipes and TCP/IP
If you find that either of the Named Pipes or TCP/IP protocols are disabled, you should right click and enabled them.
You can now attempt to configure Sentinel Manager. If issues persist, call your local AVEVA Technical Support provider for deeper troubleshooting into the matter.
