Problem

Upgrading an older PC from Windows XP to new system with Windows 7 64bit. Would like to use InControl, but do not see it on the compatability matrix. Is this supported?

OS: Win 7 64 bit

Solution

InControl is not supported on Windows 7. It is an older product, so has not had any updates as of late. We have tried using it on Windows 7 but it has been hard to get it to work correctly. With the 64bit version it has been even harder. (This applies to Windows 7 and 2008 Server). The other option, is to run the InControl in a Windows XP virtual image. We have seen that work correctly in the past, though virtualization of it isn't technically supported.
