83963 - Edge - abcip dll error message

Problem

Aveva Edge - runtime issue. Cannot load dll file from communication driver. They upgraded to 2020 from Intouch ME. New touch panel. ABCIP.dll ----He downloaded the software but it is not blocked ----Edge is not currently licensed

Solution

The problem has been resolved. I tried .NET 3.5 first but that didn’t work. I then started the install of the full Edge Development software and only installed the prerequisites for the software. It installed several C++ packages and then .Net4.8. After that I tried to start the Runtime and everything worked as it should. Aveva sent me Activation codes this morning so everything is licensed and operating correctly now.
