77598 - Unable to establish a connection to Top Server

Problem

Solution

There were 2 problems. 1) Because Kepware was also installed on the same machine we had to give the TopServer application a different name. We chose server_runtime2. 2) The Parity bit on the COM Port was set to even instead of none. After correcting these 2 things everything started working as desired.,
