TN IT108 Backup and restore the WWALMDB Alarm Database
This walks you through the process of backing up and restoring your WWALMDB Alarm Database when using it with Wonderware's InTouch.

Backing Up the WWALMDB Database
1 Start the Alarm DB Purge-Archive utility as seen below. On the General Tab Select an Archive Folder using the ellipse button.
2 On the Database Tab you will need to complete the SQL Server Administrator credentials and click the Test Connection button to confirm connection to the Database.
3 Click on the Purge/Archive Tab and click on the Purge All Now button.
4 Once completed you should see archived files in your Archive folder.
Restoring the WWALMDB Database
1 Start the Alarm DB restore utility as seen below. Complete the credentials as seen below. Click the Test Connection button to confirm that the newly created WWALMDB database has been created.
2 Click the Selection Tab and select a Restore from date via the Calendar.
3 Click on the Restore button and once completed confirm that alarms have been restored to the WWALMDB database.
