TN IT250 Connecting to an InTouch application from the Wonderware Gateway OI Server

Step 1) Right click the configuration and choose "Add InTouch Connection":

Step 2) Enter a value for the fields below.  The Device Group Name will act as the topic name when trying to connect to the application at a later time. After entering the information and selecting the application click the "Tag Browser" button to select the tags you wish to make available over the Gateway server.

Step 3) Select the tags you wish to make available and click the "OK" button.

Step 4) Click the Device Items tag to ensure the tags were added.

Step 5) Right click on the Gateway OI Server and select "Activate":

Step 6) Test the connection.  This can be done using the Wonderware Client as below. First create the connection:

Next enter the Gateway instance name as your application and Device Group Name from step 2 above:

Finally, enter the tagname as your Item and click the "AdviseEx" button:

If the tag has good quality you should see a value of 0x00c0 for the last value in the client.
