Details

In some instances, several or all of your OI server configuration levels may be missing from your System Management Console. This can be caused by, but not limited to

  1. Integral DCOM Components have issues with Identity credentials.
  2. The account used during the OIServer installation does not have local administrator privileges.
  3. There is a problem with the information entered for the ArchestrA network account.

In the event that this occurs, here are a few known solutions to try in order to remedy the issue.

Confirm the Identity Credentials for Important DCOM Components

  1. Navigate to Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config.
  2. Locate DAS_Agent component, right-click and choose Properties, and go to the Identity tab.
  3. It should be set to 'This User' and the user name and password should match the account that is used in the Change Network Account Utility

  1. Re-enter the password to confirm that it is correct, and press OK to save.
  2. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the IOSrvCfgPersist DCOM component.
  3. Reboot and see if the problem is resolved.

Verify Your OS Account Has Local Administrator Privileges

  1. Open Control Panel, and go to Administrative Tools > Computer Management.
  2. In the Computer Management console, expand Local Users and Groups, then Groups.
  3. Double click Administrators to view the Administrators list. The account used to install your OI Server should be a member of this group.
  4. Log into an account with Local Administrator privileges, and uninstall the DAServer.

Confirm the Information for the ArchestrA Network Account is Correct

Make sure that your Archestra Account credentials are correct. If you recently changed your password to your OS and run into this issue, this would be the first sign that the credentials need to be updated in the aforementioned DCOM locations. Running the Change Network Account utility will also update the credentials in other locations important to System Platform.
