Details

The new Wonderware OI Servers can run multiple instances on one machine. To improve performance you can divide these instances amongst your multi-core system. If you have 4 instances running on a quad-core system you can run each instance on a separate core and balance the load.

In this example I have 2 ABCIP instances running on a dual-core system.

If you go to task manager there will be 2 instances of ABCIP.exe listed under the Processes tab.

Right click on one and choose Set Affinity and then you can choose which processor it will run on.

Using this feature will balance the load on your processor, improving performance of the DA Server.
