Details

Upgrading from Application Server 2020 to 2020R2 often requires a reinstall of the Platform Common Services component.  This often involves deleting files and registry settings after the uninstall.  Start by uninstalling the Platform Common Services from Control Panel Programs and Features.

Next, delete the C:\ProgramData\ArchestrA\ServiceRepositories folder.  ProgramData is a hidden folder.  The ServiceRepositories folder was renamed by adding _old to the name to create a backup before deleting.

Next, delete the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ArchestrA\ArchestrAServices folder from the registry.  The ArchestrAServices folder was renamed by adding _old to the name to create a backup before deleting.

Re-install the Platform Common Services from the installation media.  Run the Configurator when complete.  The SMS should configure successfully.
